Abstract
The invention has for its object to provide a control material that is used with a wire injection process for graphite spheroidization in ductile cast iron production for the purpose of gaining control of the reaction of magnesium and achieving weight reductions. In the wire injection process for graphite spheroidization, the control material characterized by comprising a porous, volcanic silicate mineral containing 70 to 75% by weight of SiO2 is filled together with a magnesium alloy in the wire.
