Disclosed herein are a ultrasonic probe comprise an ultrasonic transceiver configured to transmit an ultrasonic signal to an object and receive a signal reflected from the object, a first display configured to receive information from a user or output information received from an ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus and a first controller configured to display a first picture on the first display when an operating state of the ultrasonic probe is switched to a standby state, wherein the first picture includes information regarding the operating state of the ultrasonic probe, and the information set by the user.
