Abstract

The device includes a current sensor connected to a supply line, a resistive voltage divider connected between the supply line and an electric earthing terminal, first processing devices connected to the current sensor and designed to generate signals or data indicating the intensity of the current drawn from the supply line, and second processing devices connected to the output of the voltage divider and designed to generate signals or data indicating the voltage of the supply line. The current sensor and related processing devices, as well as the voltage divider, are seated in a cavity inside a line insulator. The terminal with the lowest potential of the voltage divider is connected to a plate-like member made of electrically conductive material that extends outside the cavity of the insulator.
