Abstract
A system and method for tagging multimedia content based on facial representations. The method includes comparing signatures generated for a multimedia content element to signatures representing facial concepts of a plurality of facial representations, wherein each concept is a collection of signatures and metadata describing a facial feature; determining, based on the comparison, at least one matching facial representation for the multimedia content element; identifying, based on the determined at least one matching facial representation, at least one tag for the multimedia content element; and assigning the identified at least one tag to the multimedia content element.
