Abstract
A method and system for reducing contamination build-up within a fuser roll system are disclosed where there is provided the positioning of an active static eliminator over the pre-fuser transport. This device will neutralize the charge on the surface of the toner after transfer/detack thereby reducing the attraction to the surface of the fuser roll which is conductive and grounded.
