A wireless communication device determines the optimal handover destination based on data related to the communicated object. A wireless communication device has a first wireless communicator 34a that communicates by a first wireless communication method; a second wireless communicator 34b that communicates by a second wireless communication method having a slower communication speed than the first wireless communication method; and a first controller 32 configured to control the first wireless communicator 34a and second wireless communicator 34b. The second wireless communicator 34b receives data related to the communicated object from a wireless communication terminal 20. Based on the data related to the communicated object received by the second wireless communicator 34b, the first controller 32 determines whether to use the first wireless communication method or the second wireless communication method as the wireless communication method for receiving the specific data that is the communicated object.
