Abstract
A base station is capable of executing a dual connectivity scheme. The base station includes: a receiver configured to receive, from a source base station, a handover request for causing a user terminal to perform a handover from the source base station to the base station; and a transmitter configured to transmit, when the handover request includes an identifier indicating a secondary base station executing the dual connectivity scheme with the user terminal, an addition request to the secondary base station corresponding to the identifier, the addition request requesting provision of additional radio resources to the user terminal in the dual connectivity scheme. The transmitter transmits the addition request including split bearer information indicating that a data path passing through the base station and the secondary base station is established between a gateway apparatus connected with the base station and the user terminal.
