Abstract
A fingerprint identification module including an imaging unit, a light emitting element, an optical receiver, and a processing unit is provided. The imaging unit is configured to generate a first image light beam according to whether a loop is formed when an object contacts the imaging unit. The light emitting element is configured to emit a scanning beam to the object, so that the object reflects a second image light beam. The optical receiver is configured to generate a first object image and a second object image respectively according to the first image light beam and the second image light beam. The processing unit is configured to judge whether the second object image has a color change to determine the object is a living body. A fingerprint identification method is also provided.
