Abstract
The present disclosure deals with the above problems by providing a TRAS architecture having a fully distributed motor configuration—i.e. having a single, smaller motor, for each actuator. The efficiency of the drive between the motor and the actuator output to which it is connected is maximised, but the efficiency of the mechanical connection between adjacent actuators themselves is minimised (preferably less than 50%) resulting in low torque transfer between actuators.
