Abstract
The present application discloses a silicone-based fouling-release coat comprising a polysiloxane-based binder matrix constituting at least 40% by dry weight of said coat, wherein more than 65% by weight of said binder matrix is represented by polysiloxane parts, and comprising one or more poly(oxyalkylene)-modified alcohols, e.g. poly(oxyalkylene)-modified sterols, and one or more biocides. Further, the application discloses a silicone-based fouling-release coating system, wherein one or more coats comprises one or more poly(oxyalkylene)-modified alcohols, and one or more coats comprises one or more biocides, and wherein the coating system comprising 1-20 g/m2 of one or more poly(oxyalkylene)-modified alcohols and 2-35 g/m2 of one or more biocides. Also, a corresponding marine structure and a silicone-based fouling-release coating composition are disclosed.
