Abstract
A remotely powered device having an outlet receptacle with multiple outlet receptacles. The outlet receptacle includes a female receptacle configured to receive a corresponding male plug and conduct electrical power potential in the 1 volt to 240 (+/−10%) volt range. The outlet receptacle further includes a USB receptacle capable of delivering low voltage DC current to a corresponding male insert, a transformer and an AC/DC converter. The outlet receptacle is adapted to convert AC current to low voltage DC current. The outlet receptacle is useful in powering portable electronic devices while also providing higher voltage power to other devices.
