Abstract
Various security systems in which secure data is to be transferred to an authenticated device may benefit from methods of securing such data transfer. For example, certain secure drives or other memory devices may benefit from the prevention of covert access after successful completion of an authentication process. A method can include monitoring for a loss-of-link condition for a link associated with a successfully executed authentication operation. The method can also include determining that the link has been lost. The method can further include taking a security response based on the determination that the link has been lost.
