Abstract
The present disclosure provides systems, devices and methods for automated endotracheal suctioning The device comprises an adaptor, which in some embodiments retrofits into existing suctioning equipment. The system includes the adaptor as well as suctioning tube, componentry for automatically deploying and retracting the suctioning tube, suctioning device, and processor to manage automation of deployment/retraction of the tube and suctioning of fluid. The method includes use of the device to automatically suction fluids and may also include programming the device to take into consideration safety concerns such as overuse or suction tube placement.
