Abstract

The Aberrant and Diminished Activity Detector Apparatuses, Methods and Systems (“DAD”) transforms abnormal financial or behavioral pattern and enrollment request message inputs via DAD components into alert outputs that may be sent to trusted parties or caregivers, in order to reduce and prevent fraudulent financial transactions that target the elderly or impaired individuals. A subject is enrolled in the DAD system via an enrollment component via enrollment information provided by one of the subject and an observer. The DAD system determines abnormal transaction indicators for the subject from at least one of: historical financial transaction patterns of the subject, abnormal behavior patterns of the subject and predictive indicators derived from historical fraudulent financial data of a population. Alarm thresholds based on the abnormal transaction indicators are determined. When an indication of a financial transaction involving the subject is obtained via a monitoring component, the DAD system determines an alert level for the financial transaction by comparing details of the financial transaction to the transaction alarm thresholds, and transmits an alert to an enrolled observer in accordance with the determined alert level.
