Abstract
A method of detecting metallic objects is provided. A first type of pictures is taken without an infrared flashlight. A second type of pictures is taken using an infrared flashlight. A given first type of picture and a given second type of picture are processed, wherein the given first type of picture and the given second type of picture have been taken within a time of at most 100 ms from each other. During the processing, the given first type of picture is subtracted from the given second type of picture to produce a third type of picture, and the third type of picture is used to detect metallic objects.
