Abstract
In the brake device (1) according to the present invention, a brake shaft (20) that configures a pad pressing device (10) for pressing brake pads (4, 5) against rotor surfaces (2L, 2R) is supported on an inner surface of a brake housing (6) by a cylindrical shaft support member (25) and is turned in a brake actuation direction and a brake release direction along a surface of the shaft support member (25). The shaft support member (25) is provided in such a manner that a portion of the surface thereof is inserted into a support concavity (19) that is formed on the inner surface of the brake housing (6). The coefficient of friction of the surface of the support concavity (19) is greater than the coefficient of friction of the surface of the shaft support member (25).
