Abstract
A wireless power transfer system includes a mobile object including a power receiving element that receives a power transmitted through wireless power transfer, a power transmission element that transmits the power, a slidable shield that shields an electromagnetic wave radiated from the power transmission element, the shield comprising a first magnet, and an urging mechanism that urges the shield to slide in a direction that increases a shielding effect of the power transmission element. The mobile object further includes a second magnet at a predetermined distance from the power receiving element, the second magnet couples to the first magnet when the mobile object approaches the power transmission element to couple the mobile object and the shield together.
