Abstract
An organ imaging apparatus is provided with an image pickup unit for acquiring images by imaging an organ in a living body and a detection unit for detecting a feature of the organ on the basis of the images acquired by the image pickup unit. The detection unit extracts blue component image data from the images taken of the organ and detects shininess of the organ surface on the basis of the extracted blue component image data alone.
