A platform for a service tool comprising a mobile device, an application executing on the mobile device for displaying three-dimensional CAD-style drawings of a system and all of its important components, and a cloud-based service that allows an operator or service personnel to order components and to exchange information (including video, audio, and other data types) with a remotely-located service provider.
