Abstract

This method for producing a plastic material part, comprises at least a reinforcing element made of at least one fibrous insert made of a composite material, using an injection mold comprising a first part and a second part defining between them a molding cavity having the shape of the plastic material part to be produced, said method comprising the steps of:

transporting and placing the reinforcing element onto the first part of the injection mold using a manipulating tool,shaping the fibrous insert into the reinforcing element,injecting a plastic material into the mold such that the reinforcing element is overmolded by the plastic material and the plastic material part is produced,wherein the manipulating tool comprises at least one shaping area having the shape of one side of the reinforcing element, the fibrous insert being placed in said shaping area during the transportation of the fibrous insert to the first part of the mold and being shaped into the reinforcing element by said shaping area and said first part of the mold when said insert is transported or is placed onto the first part of the injection mold.
