Abstract
A method for stereoselectively producing an optically active alcohol compound. The optically active alcohol compound of Formula (8) can be produced in high yield and high selectivity from the compound of Formula (3), and the production method that is useful industrially and the intermediates therefor can be provided. In formulae, R1 is a hydrogen atom, C1-6 alkyl, C1-6 alkyl optionally substituted with R3, or the like, R2 is cyano or —CH2N(R5)R4, and R3 is C3-8 cycloalkyl.
