Provided are lens optical systems. A lens optical system includes a first lens, a second lens, a third lens, and a fourth lens sequentially arranged in a direction from an object to an image sensor. The first lens may have a negative (−) refractive power and an entrance surface convex toward the object. The second lens may have a negative (−) refractive power and an exit surface concave toward the image sensor. The third lens may have a positive (+) refractive power and a meniscus shape convex toward the object. The fourth lens may have a positive (+) refractive power and a biconvex shape. The lens optical system may have a diagonal field of view FOV_D satisfying the following formula: 180°
