Abstract
A cylinder for a movable bodywork element of a motor vehicle, capable of containing a fluid, comprising a chamber and a piston. The piston consists of a rod and a head. The head of the piston has a surface opposite the rod that faces a surface at the bottom of the chamber. The bottom of the cylinder chamber comprises at least one stop. The stop has a contact surface impermeable to fluid that faces at least a portion of at least one of the surfaces. The contact surface of the stop is arranged in such a way as to expel the fluid located between the contact surface and the portion of at least one of the surfaces.
