A coated superabrasive material and method of making the coated superabrasive material are provided. The coated superabrasive material may comprise a core and a glass coating. The core may comprise a superabrasive crystal. The glass coating may evenly cover an outside surface of the core. The glass coating may range from about 1 wt % to about 15 wt % of the superabrasive crystal. The glass coating may have thickness from about 1 micron to about 2 microns.
