Abstract
A panel for use in furniture and interior design applications includes a continuous outer skin formed of polystyrene or high impact polystyrene. The skin completely encapsulates a cellular plastic core. The core is formed from a heat activated foamable plastic particulate material. The area of the largest face of the panel is greater than 1 m2. Both skin and filler material may be recycled plastics.
