Abstract
Methods of producing hydrogen and sulfur from the destruction of hydrogen sulfide are provided, each method comprising subjecting hydrogen sulfide (H2S) to a non-thermal plasma in the presence of oxygen (O2), under the specific conditions articulated herein, so as to provide hydrogen at a specific energy requirement of less than about 2.5 eV/molecule of H2.
