Abstract
Data network in an in-flight entertainment system for playing back audio and video data (1b, 1a), which comprises a playback device (21) for reading out the audio and video data (1b, 1a) from a data carrier (1), a decoder (22) and an amplifier (24), it being possible to transmit the audio data (1b) read out in the playback device (21) to the amplifier (24), and it being possible to transmit read-out video data (1a) in an encrypted manner to the decoder (22), wherein the data network is configured to play the video data (1a), which are in high resolution, substantially synchronously with the audio data (1b), and to transmit both sets of data separately from one another to the decoder (22) or the amplifier (24).
