Abstract
The invention relates to a smoking article (10). In particular, the invention relates to a smoking article (10) having a first part (11) which is moveable relative to a second part (12). The smoking article (10) may be extendable. In one example, the smoking article has a first cylindrical part configured to be moveable relative to a second cylindrical part, the first cylindrical part having a first engaging surface (17) and the second cylindrical part having a second engaging surface (20), wherein the first engaging surface (17) is engagable with the second engaging surface (20) to limit relative longitudinal movement between the first and second parts and wherein at least one of the first and second engaging surfaces (17, 20) extends around at least part of an inner or outer surface of the respective first or second cylindrical parts and follows a path other than a circular path. At least one of the first and second engaging surfaces (17, 20) may have a radial extent greater than a single thickness of the respective first or second sheet material forming the at least one of the first and second engaging surfaces (17, 20).
