Abstract
[Problem] To provide a brake pedal device which is easily attached by one worker and an attachment method thereof. [Solution] A brake pedal device includes: a master cylinder (10) which holds a push rod (14) for generating a brake liquid pressure; a pedal box (20) which rotatably and axially supports a brake pedal (21) to a bracket portion (22); and a fixed portion (30) which is fixable to a dash panel (40), provided with a penetration hole (40A) through which the master cylinder is insertable, from a vehicle interior. Here, the master cylinder, the pedal box, and the fixed portion form an assembly in which these members are integrally connected to one another by connecting the push rod to the brake pedal, and the assembly is fixable to the dash panel from the vehicle interior in a manner such that the fixed portion is fixed to the dash panel from the vehicle interior while at least a part of the master cylinder in the axial direction is inserted through the penetration hole.
