A method for closing an opening in a body, for example in a housing of a door operator, and such a closure arrangement, a closure element being provided for this purpose, which is inserted into the opening, where the method includes providing the closure element having a pot-shaped embodiment such that the closure element includes a bottom and a surrounding border extending upwards from the extension plane of the bottom, forming the opening with a circumferential edge projecting into the opening, behind which edge an undercut area is formed, and joining the closure element into the opening such that the bottom points towards the inside, and widening the surrounding border into the undercut area.
