Abstract
An object of the present invention is to provide a composition containing a biologically active substance, which has such an excellent moldability that it can give a favorable granular formulation even when it is not cut with a water-cooled cutter, and which can fulfill the performance required of a rumen-bypassing formulation and the like. The composition containing a biologically active substance of the present invention comprises 10 to 50% by mass of a protective substance comprising a linear or branched, saturated or unsaturated aliphatic C8-24 monocarboxylic acid (1a) having a melting point of lower than 50° C., a linear or branched, saturated or unsaturated aliphatic C8-24 monocarboxylic acid having a melting point of 50° C. or higher, and a calcium salt of a linear or branched, saturated or unsaturated aliphatic C12-24 monocarboxylic acid (2) having a calcium content of 8 to 12% by mass, and 50 to 90% by mass of a biologically active substance dispersed in the protective substance.
