The present invention relates to methods for treating or preventing a properd related disease or disorder in a subject in need thereof, or for reducing mortality of a subject suffering from a properdin-related disease or disorder, comprising administering to the subject an effective amount of a pharmaceutical composition comprising a properdin protein.
