Abstract
A connector includes first and second connectable parts. Each part has a respective structure, such as an aperture, arranged so that, when the two parts are brought together and appropriately aligned with each other, a locking member, such as a pin, may be engaged with the two structures to connect the two parts together. The two parts include respective mutually cooperating formations. These formations are arranged such that, as the two parts are brought together, any engagement between the formations causes the two parts to move relative to one another so that they align sufficiently to enable the locking member to be engaged with the respective structures. The connector is suitable for use as a subsea mooring connector.
