Abstract
An exhaust gas cleaning catalyst apparatus includes: a catalyst carrier; an outer tube for storing the catalyst carrier; and a holding member interposed between the catalyst carrier and the outer tube in contact with the outer peripheral surface of the catalyst carrier and the inner peripheral surface of the outer tube, wherein a clearance between the inner peripheral surface of the outer tube and the outer peripheral surface of the catalyst carrier narrows toward the flow direction of exhaust gas.
