A transparent surface protection layer on the basis of synthetic resin may include transparent solid particles, which include at least three different grain size fractions and encompass a Mohs hardness of at least 4. The transparent particles may be incorporated into a synthetic resin matrix, wherein the grain size fractions in each case encompass a monomodal grain size distribution, and the solid particles are present as a trimodal grain size distribution including a coarse fraction, a medium fraction, and a fine fraction.
