Abstract

Disk Continuously Variable Transmission is a Disk based, semi or full Continuously Variable Transmission (DCVT) using a Roller engaging and rotating with the surface of a typically power Input Disk. The Roller is Geared to and rotates a power Output Arm. Sliding said Roller between Disk's Center and Circumference by a Control mechanism changes the relative rotation speeds of the Disk and Roller & Arm. Said engagement is by Friction or Teeth on Roller's body Geared to Dents across the Disk. Many techniques for making said Geared Slide smooth and Continuous are introduced. DCVT can be also constructed as a Differential dividing power between say left and right and or front and rear wheels of a car.
