Abstract
Disclosed are a distributed digital inkjet printing method and system supporting variable data. A colour surface controller is configured for each print colour surface to increase the data transmission and computation speed of a hardware control module of each colour surface; and in addition, a server conducts RIP computation and transmits the computed page data of each colour surface to each colour surface controller. By using the method, the data transmission amount and the data amount read from a hard disk can be effectively reduced, and the computation efficiency can be increased, thereby increasing the printing speed of digital printers
