Abstract
The present invention provides a two-component coating composition comprising as component I (a) an acrylate modified amine functional polyaspartic acid ester having an acrylate/acid ester mixture of greater than 2 to 30 wt. % acrylate; (b) at least one moisture scavenger; (c) at least one deaerator; (d) at least one plasticizer; and optionally (e) a short chain polyol having a hydroxyl value of >100; and as component II one or more aliphatic polyisocyanates. Methods of preparing the coating composition, methods of coating a substrate, and coated substrates are also provided. The coating is particularly suitable as a gel coat.
