Abstract
An ultrasonic dispersion system for dispersing fluid collected from a wellbore during hydrocarbon production is disclosed. The system comprises a holding tank for containing a fluid collection; a fluid intake in communication with the holding tank for input of fluid collected from a wellbore; and an air intake in communication with the holding tank. An ultrasonic generator bank positioned in the holding tank for contact with the fluid collection is used for particlizing the fluid collection to generate an air/particle mixture with the air input into the holding tank. The ultrasonic generator bank comprises an ultrasonic source positioned below the surface of the fluid collection for particlizing at least a portion of the fluid collection; a power source for providing power to the ultrasonic generator bank; and an outlet in an upper region of the holding tank for exhausting the air/particle mixture from the holding tank.
