Abstract
An apparatus for treating a liquid having a receptacle for collecting the liquid to be treated and a cartridge for treating the liquid, releasably attachable to the receptacle. The receptacle includes a first locking device and a drain opening for dispensing the liquid to be treated, and has a first axis (L1). The cartridge includes a second locking device and an inlet opening for leading the liquid to be treated into the cartridge. The cartridge has a second axis (L2). The first locking device is provided with a first shaped section and the second locking device is provided with a second shaped section, insertable into each other in an interlocking manner. At least one of the first locking device and the second locking device includes an insertion opening by which the second locking device is guidable into the first locking device in a first rotary position of the cartridge, by a movement of the cartridge directed essentially perpendicularly to the first axis (L1) relative to the receptacle, causing the first and the second shaped sections to engage each other. The cartridge is placeable into a second rotary position, in which the drain opening and inlet opening register with each other, by rotation about the second axis (L2).
