Abstract
The invention relates to a method for expanding data cells in a spreadsheet or a report which is associated with a spreadsheet having a number of cells that are displayed in rows and columns wherein at least some of the cells may contain data which is member of a hierarchic structure comprising different hierarchic levels, the methods comprising the following steps:
- detecting a user request to expand a certain cell, wherein the user request comprises the selection of a cell to be expanded,further detecting a dragging movement performed by the user by means of an input means andexpanding the selected cell in reaction to the dragging movement, thereby displaying one or more cells proximate to the selected cell, depending on the length of the dragging movement.
