A protective garment including an outer shell made of an abrasion resistant material that resists igniting, burning, melting, dripping, or separation when exposed to a temperature of 500° F. for five minutes. The garment includes a pocket generally positioned on or inside the outer shell and a magnetic closure system configured to retain the pocket in a closed position.
