Abstract
A power-injectable access port, and a method of identifying a subcutaneously implanted power-injectable access port. The power-injectable access port includes a body capturing a septum that covers a cavity defined by the body, and a pattern of protrusions extending from an outer surface of the septum away from the cavity, the pattern of protrusions detectable through palpation to identify the access port as a power-injectable access port.
