Vacuum cleaner dust container and a vacuum cleaner The present application is directed to a vacuum cleaner dust container (1) and vacuum cleaner comprising such a dust container (1). The dust container (1) comprises a base body (2) accommodating a dust collecting chamber adapted to be coupled to a cyclonic dust separation unit, and comprising a lid (8) adapted to close a dust discharge opening (9) of the dust collecting chamber, and further comprising an actuating mechanism (12) coupled between the lid (8) and base body (2) and adapted for controlling opening and/or closing movements of the lid (8).
