Abstract
The present invention relates to a trehalose fatty acid ester composition, including a trehalose fatty acid ester, wherein all the fatty acid residues held by all the trehalose fatty acid esters in the composition are saturated fatty acid residues having 8 to 22 carbon atoms, the composition contains at least two types of esters selected from the group consisting of a triester, a tetraester, a pentaester, a hexaester, a heptaester, and an octaester, and the sum amount of the esters relative to the total amount of the trehalose fatty acid ester in the composition, is from 20 to 100% by area. According to the present invention, it is possible to provide a composition which has excellent thermostability and an excellent effect of adjusting the hardness for various types of waxes, and which can be used as a solidifier together with a wax for various types of cosmetics.
