Abstract
An electrical insulating paper including 40-100% by weight of para-aramid fibrid wherein the para-aramid has at least 95% para bonds between the aromatic moieties. The paper may further contain up to 60% by weight of at least one of aramid pulp, aramid floc, aramid staple fiber, aramid fibril, meta-aramid fibrid, meta-/para-aramid fibrid, fillers, thermal conductive fillers, and common paper additives such as fillers, for example kaolin, binders, fibers, tackifiers, and adhesives. The paper can be used in insulated conductors and transformers, generators and electric motors.
