Abstract
The leakage of smoke produced from the inside of a battery is to be prevented, and more secure use is to be enabled. A lithium ion battery houses an electrode group in a battery can together with an electrolyte solution. The electrode group includes a positive electrode and a negative electrode prepared through a separator. The battery can is a hermetically sealed metal container including a cap. The battery can includes a portion in the battery can. The portion at least one of adsorbs and absorbs smoke or a gas component produced from the inside of the battery can.
