Described are an antibacterial covering panel and a method for making the panel. The panel comprises a supporting layer having a first surface for connection to a surface to be covered, for example the interior surface of an ambulance, and a second surface which is opposite to the first surface; at least one composite material is positioned outside in view at the second surface of the supporting layer and comprises at least one layer of particles of photocatalytic material.
