Abstract
A production process according to the present invention is a novel production process for composite oxide, production process whose a major product is a lithium-manganese-based oxide that includes at least the following: a lithium (Li) element; and a tetravalent manganese (Mn) element, and lithium-manganese-based oxide whose crystal structure belongs to a layered rock-salt structure;
- said composite oxide is obtained via the following:a molten reaction step of reacting at least the following one another: a metal-containing raw material; and a molten-salt raw material at a melting point of the molten-salt raw material or more,the metal-containing raw material including one or more kinds of metallic elements in which Mn is essential,the molten-salt raw material including lithium hydroxide but not including any other compound virtually, and the molten-salt raw material including Li in an amount that exceeds a theoretical composition of Li being included in said composite oxide to be targeted; anda recovery step of recovering said composite oxide being generated at said molten reaction step.
