Abstract
A method of despeckling that includes generating two pulsed laser beams, focusing both laser beams into an optical fiber, generating stimulated Raman scattering light in the optical fiber, and using the stimulated Raman scattering light to reduce speckle and/or change the color of the light. The time period between the peaks of the two laser beams may be controlled to adjust the amount of despeckling or color change.
